a8eJoomla is an open source project released under the GNU/GPL license and is made available for free to anyone wishing to use it for personal or commercial websites. You can download a free copy in our download section.

a8eJoomla project was started by Matthijs Wensveen & Zoran Kovacevic in September 2005 at the same time when the Mambo core team split from Mambo CMS to form their own project (which is now known as Joomla!) under a not-for-proift organisation called Open Source Matters.

a8eJoomla is not a completing project with Joomla!, without Joomla! this project would not have existed.

a8e.org is a not-for-profit open source project. We always encourage our growing community of users and volunteers in submiting patches, bug reports and helping others understand and effectively use a8eJoomla CMS.
