new, old, same but different
Welcome to a8e.org * the new home for a8ejoomla CMS support, updates and community forums. New members more than welcome, visiting/returning a8ejoomla members.. Welcome back.
Excuse the errant bits and occasional broken/missing links for the next few days. We're running a tad behind schedule in our launching of a8e and are scrambling to get new features online and the older a8ejoomla archives nestled in the new site structure. A bunch of work considering on top of everything else *(mojoBlog updates, joomlify.com server issues and an over due 100 year old bathroom renovation) there's only 29 days in Feb *(leap year).
What's new
What's not? From the top down a8e.org is brand squeaky new. Sitting on top of our alpha CMF (content management framework) a8e-dev we've built a8e.org around a single focus, content.
New a8ejoomla CVS and a8e-Developers area.
We've recently gotten accepted *(and approved) by sourceforge.net to host source files, bug and diff tracking from their forge. Our new developers site can be found at; http://sourceforge.net/projects/a8e-dev/
New a8eJoomla Forums
Our new community a8e forums have been restructured to allow those searching for specific topics to find answers quickly -AND- possibly even in their native language as we're adding country-specific forums and categories.
New, dedicated a8e Tutorials
Our a8e tutorials section will provide not only a8ejoomla users the ability to search and find tutorials and articles on a8ejoomla specific topics but will also serve as a growing library for joomla, a8ejoomla and a8e-dev tips, how-to's and user/member contributed articles on template design, component and module development.
New Wiki
In addition to our tutorials section we've added a new, cross-referenceable a8e wiki which we hope grows into a useable microcosm of relevant documentation on all things a8e. A member-grown, online users manual.
New Files Archive
Our support continues for a8ejoomla, legacy packages of a8ejoomla can be found in our files section (versioning back to 1.0.12a) as well as iteration updates. In addition, we'll be hosting 3rd party extensions, components, plugins, `bots and tools here as well as serving as a downloads mirror for our upcoming release of a8e-dev CMF (CVS access and diffs/bugs tracking will remain over at sourceforge.net.)
New Showcase
While not yet live, we've re-implemented the older a8ejoomla showcase to display and promote a8e member contributed projects developed around a8ejoomla *(and a8e-dev) framework. Spread the love!
There's more coming soon.. dedicated developer group forums, expanded member tools, interactive tutorials, developer and member contributed blogs.. stay tuned!
