First steps to get Joomla accessible

Default Joomla menu are presented in tables. But a menu is in fact list of of links. This is what is recommended.

There is a way to tell Joomla do display menus this way :

In the admin panel, go to the site modules list to edit menu modules.
In the parameters section, change the menu style to "Flat list" to get ul/li/a link list :

menulist

Note that this tutorial is only for the original Joomla! because a8eJoomla mainmenu has been rewritten so that it produces an item link list whether you use vertical or flat list.
